STATEMENT

I create paintings and drawings using blind contour lines to describe the figures and objects of a space. The blind line work within my pieces acts as a basis for the later incorporation of spatial elements, such as geometric lines and blocks of color. I am attracted to the blind contour line because of the unpredictable nature of its outcome, and the rigidity it creates with measured line.
